is it difficult to speak Spanish? Come to Valladolid and you will discover that it isn't

The truth is that these guys have worked a lot the lyrics of their song, so I personally grant them an excellent rating in regard to the language.

However, we need to distinguish that the original and real Castellano, the base and foundations of the later worldwide spreaded Spanish language, spoken by more than 350 million people, has it´s best representation in Valladolid. Everyone knows it. Despite that some of us make some usual grammatical deviations, like the “leismo” and “laísmo”, it is obvious and unquestioned the lexical richness of the Castellano spoken in this area.

And since this is a city of great qualities, it was created a few years ago an office working specifically in facilitating the study of Spanish in Valladolid to all foreigners who want it. This is “Learn Spanish in Valladolid”.

According to data provided by the Tourism Observatory, an increasing number of students choose Valladolid to learn or improve the Cervantes' language. The increase of these students over the past 2013 has been no more and no less than 16%.

To this end, this office coordinates the work of Universities, Language schools and language centers and manages accommodations, activities and resources. It also attend international fairs and linguistic congresses with the misión of attract to Valladolid not only students , but also the so called "Language tourism".

Is pretty cool because on top of the richness of our language, students and tourists can also find an espectacular cultural and gastronomic offer, a breathtaking wines and plenty of monuments and places of interest in a clean, modern and safe city.

Summing up, we're a great destination and this is being consolidated every day.

Chinese tourists are already aware about this. Valladolid has recently joined a network of cities that host chinese tourists looking for a gastronomic and cultural tourism, beyond the typical “sol y playa” (sun and beach), about which Valladolid is starting to be an icon.

The excellent connection of the city with Madrid allows also to a hundreds of thousands of tourists who choose the capital of Spain as a holiday destination, to move quickly, comfortably and economically to our city in order to know and discover what we have to show and offer.

We must take into account that it is not because of the cliché about the physical similarities of the chinese people that we feel they are many (sometimes I take the licence to write this kind of silly things, especially when I am in a good mood like today), it is because they are many! Currently there are more than 100 million of chinese tourist hanging around the world every year and with our  appeal for tourists, our spectacular offer and the current importance of the language tourism, we are a destiny to keep seriously in mind.
